We are thrilled to continue offering an annual wilderness canoe trip to places like the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. This year's location is yet to be determined, as we consider a variety of awe-inspiring wilderness locations. The trip will be 8 days of canoeing, camping, and portaging (carrying canoe and pack on trails that connect one lake to another). If you’ve never been on a wilderness canoe trip before, this is a great chance to expand your horizons in a beautiful place with new friends. Participants on past trips have said this has been a life-altering experience, spending time immersed in some of the most beautiful and remote earth (and water!) in the US.
Our group leader, Mike, has guided/completed 30+ trips in places like the Boundary Waters, Quetico, Algonquin, Adirondacks, and more over the years. His wife, Josey, and step-daughter, Scotlynn, have each gained valuable skills and knowledge on recent wilderness trips. As a family, they want to share this combined experience to help make your trip even more memorable.

Schedule:
June 14: Arrive at the outfitters in Ely, MN
June 15: Launch around 9:00 a.m.
June 22: Return to outfitters
June 23: Travel home
Included in trip cost:
Canoe rental (includes paddle and PFD if needed)
Canoe packs
Food (breakfasts and dinners)
3 nights reservation of bunk rooms at lodge
Permits
What to Bring:
Lunches for 8 days
General camping gear (sleeping bag, sleeping pad, etc)
Gear available to rent at additional fee
*A detailed packing list will be provided to participants
Trip cost: $900 (50% deposit required to hold spot, remainder due 30 days before the trip)
